Clarence's Corner

I am on CLOUD 13, because I had a wonderful birthday with friends of at least 50 years duration. The restaurant, my favourite, went all out to make the day unforgettable. I sent a letter to their head office letting them know how acts of kindness, done by the staff, helps to make their company very successful.
In my next contribution to CLARENCE'S CORNER will give credit to those who have contributed and help me on my diabetes journey since 1977. SONNEE COHEN a friend of DR.CHARLES BEST, co-discoverer with DR.BANTING of INSULIN JULY 30 1921, and I formed an alliance called WORLDWIDE DIABETEES INFO SERVICES. We set up health fairs in shopping malls, churches, schools, conventions, had a radio weekly community on NEWSTON CABLE and produced over 200 shows.
We joined AADE and attended 8 conventions to gain knowledge on how to best service diabetics since diabetes info was only in ENGLISH and FRENCH, and TORONTO had a mosaic population, we felt we should do something about it, so we set up the first ethnic in N.A. in 1979 in the ITALIAN COMMUNITY.
In my next contribution will let you know of others who have contributed to my amazing journey. AMIGO has LIFE’S LESSONS, and will mention them from time to time to keep us on the RIGHT TRACK.
