LoveFest is Happening at Whiskey Tango!

LoveFest 2010 is Sunday, FEBRUARY 28th from 2pm to 10pm at Whiskey Tango and is one AMAZING celebration that you do NOT want to miss!

LoveFest is a day for all the people “in the biz” to be together under one roof – Bands could see other bands play. Bartenders could hang with one another. And fans of local music and the scene itself, could not only come see several of their favorite, amazing musicians, but also raise a ton of money for responsible and deserving charities at the same time.

The LoveFest concept was formed last year by Lori Stidham, one of the managers at Whiskey Tango. It started out as being a get-together for Lori and many of her friends in the business over Valentine’s weekend. Lori wanted to have something where she and all of her friends who work hard as bartenders, musicians, bar staff etc., could be together at one location to celebrate and really enjoy each other’s company. It was then, in the midst of this celebration of love and friendship that it dawned on Lori…these were all talented, hard working individuals with hearts of gold and it was decided that night, to turn LoveFest into an annual party! Lori and her friends would make this event something completely different, a party to out-do all other parties.

LoveFest is the first benefit of its kind. It’s a totally 100% charitable,”nobody-makes-a-dime-but-the-charities” benefit. Everyone will be working that day for free- Bands, bartenders, staff, EVERYONE, and all money (tips included) will be donated. Each band will be playing for a charity of their choice and will be given an equal percentage of money to donate to their cause. Here is a listing of the bands playing and their chosen charities:

Kicking things off at 2:00 pm are those amazing kids from The Bucks County School of Rock so get there early! Tickets (donations) are $30 for adults 21 and over; $20 for anyone under 21 and kids under 5 are free. Your donation covers a fabulous buffet, a 3 hour open bar consisting of domestic drafts, well drinks, wine, and soda and live music all day long. The Whiskey Tango is located 14000 Bustleton Avenue, (Corner of Philmont) in Philadelphia.
