The American Council on Exercise (ACE), America's non-profit fitness advocate, recently polled over 1,500 Web site visitors posing the question "What keeps you from going to the gym?" "Your choice in a gym should be a carefully considered decision in order to maximize your membership," said Dr. Cedric Bryant, chief exercise physiologist for the American Council on Exercise. "Be sure to do your homework and find a facility that meets your specific needs and fits your personality and lifestyle. The type of health club you select can have a profound impact on how well you adhere to your fitness program."
