'Tis the Season!
While this is a season of cheer and celebration for most people in the world, it can also be very tricky for a person with diabetes to stay in control. There are parties with all sorts of great food and beverages. It's hard to fit in exercise. Depression often rears its head. And stress, even happy stress, plays an important role.
There is no one easy answer, but here are a few tips:

I have just returned from a national research conference on Diabetes and Pregnancy sponsored by “Sweet Success” California’s Diabetes and Pregnancy Program. Here are some highlights from researchers and clinicians at this conference:
1. Women with a history of gestational diabetes (GDM) ---diabetes first diagnosed during pregnancy---have a 50 percent chance to develop type 2 diabetes within the next 5 years. Their infants are at increased risk for developing obesity and diabetes. Read More Mr. Diabetes® Says

I’m assuming your gardens are put to rest for winter. But, before the gardener rests there are a few jobs to be done, such as taking care of leftover seeds, dirty gardening tools, etc.
If you didn’t use all the seeds in the packages, store the packages in a snap-top plastic bag (paper packets tend to collect moisture & get moldy). Seeds from one year will still be good to plant the next year if stored properly. Read More
