Defeat Diabetes ® News by Daniel H. Rasolt

Daniel H. Rasolt is writing articles that cover diabetes, health, self management, and complementary and alternative medicine. He is writing exclusively for Defeat Diabetes Foundation.

Here is some interesting info about Daniel:
Daniel was born in Knoxville, TN. At a young age he moved to the Boston area, where he spent most of his childhood.

As many members of his immediate family have diabetes, Daniel has close contact with the disease. He also is aware of his increased risk of becoming diabetic, because of his family history, so he tries to follow a "healthier" lifestyle that includes fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains and plenty of exercise.

Here's Daniel at the summit of Gokyo Ri in the Nepalese Himalayas, with Mt. Everest in the background.

Daniel is a graduate of Cornell University, where he majored in Physics, with a concentration in Astrophysics. He has seen his physics research published, and uses his analytical skills developed in physics to accomplish his tasks as a health, medical and science writer. He also uses his talent in communication to write so the layperson can understand.

His many interests outside of science: He is world traveled, has an extensive interest and knowledge of wine, plays for a semi-pro baseball team, and is a proud member of Red Sox Nation.

Daniel was recently exploring the mountains, jungles, oceans, and people of South America, hoping that maybe a shaman contains the secret cure for diabetes. He has concluded his world traveling, for now, and is currently working his way towards a PhD in Theoretical Physics at the University of California, Santa Cruz.
