Almost one-third of doctors in an industry-sponsored survey said they didn't spend enough time with their diabetes patients and blamed low reimbursement rates for diabetes care, researchers said.

Over the same period, spending on diabetes will triple, rising from $113 billion to $336 billion, even with no increase in the prevalence of obesity.
