LoveFest 2010 is Sunday, FEBRUARY 28th from 2pm to 10pm at Whiskey Tango and is one AMAZING celebration that you do NOT want to miss! LoveFest is the first benefit of its kind. It’s a totally 100% charitable,”nobody-makes-a-dime-but-the-charities” benefit. What we are doing now is just not working. A lengthy paper signed by DeFronzo and 15 other diabetes experts from the United States and Europe, slated for publication, also argues against the current ADA guidelines.

As adding metformin to insulin therapy has been advocated in Type 1 diabetes, researchers at the Universities of Dundee and Aberdeen, U.K., conducted a systematic review of published clinical trials and clinical trial databases to assess the effects on HbA1c, weight, insulin-dose requirement and adverse effects.
