Diabetes in Control seeks to be the world leader of current and accurate on-line diabetes information for medical professionals. Their goal is to promote increased understanding of the care and treatment of diabetes, ultimately helping the medical professional to empower the patient to better self-care. The mission of Joslin Diabetes Center is to improve the lives of people with diabetes and its complications through innovative care, education and research that will lead to prevention and cure of the disease. Joslin Diabetes Center based in Boston works with a variety of institutions throughout the United States to provide “satellite” clinics for the treatment of diabetes. DDF’s Executive Director Andrew Mandell – Mr. Diabetes® credits his professional team at Joslin with saving his life and getting his diabetes under control.
The Diabetes Action Research and Education Foundation enhances the quality of life for all people whose lives are affected by diabetes and its complications by focusing on reducing the serious medical consequences of diabetes and alleviating the illness and suffering that accompany this disease.
