Services®, Inc. Camp LADD of Cortland Day camp Age: 5 to 13 Activities: field trips swimming, guest speakers, science experiments, and video programming. Camp Setebaid® Location: In the mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania, just west of Wilkes-Barre and east of Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. On a beautiful forestland threaded with hiking trails and wildlife, a lake, a crystal clear Olympic sized swimming pool, and open playing fields. Age 8-13 Type 1 only. Youth Camp Teen Camp This program offers teens a choice of two specialty programs (electives) along with the normal camp activities. A Counselor-In-Training (CIT) program is available for teens that wish to become camp counselors. The program develops counseling techniques, outdoor living and survival skills, and furthers diabetes management knowledge. Services®, Inc. For children with diabetes aged 3-12 and their families, because managing diabetes requires a change in lifestyle, family support is needed. This weekend is designed for the families of children with diabetes and to assist them adapt to manage diabetes. The primary purpose of this weekend is to establish a network of support and assist the families cope with the daily struggle of living with diabetes. Location: Split Rock Resort in the Pocono Mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania. 1 ½ hours from Philadelphia and 2 hours from New York City. The resort is less than five miles from Pennsylvania Turnpike's Northeast Extension and Interstate 80.
