Location: Camp Mohaven in Danville, Ohio

Ages 7 -18

Trailblazers (ages 7 - 10)
Activities: Hayrides, water games, a talent show, and a treasure hunt are a few of the activities that make this program full of wholesome fun and delight.

Explorers (ages 11 - 13)
A week of adventure including rafting along the Mohican River or spending a day swimming, boating and tubing at the lake, Explorers are busy with an exciting array of activities.

Senior Challenge (ages 14 - 17)
Activities: rappelling, river canoeing, overnight camping, initiative games and much more.

Counselors-In-Training (ages 17 - 18)

For individuals entering their Senior year of high school and looking for an opportunity to develop their leadership potential. No longer campers and not yet staff, C.I.T.s undergo a comprehensive counselor training program designed to increase their awareness of counselor responsibilities and leadership roles. Location: YMCA Camp Campbell Gard Hamilton, Ohio, between Cincinnati and Dayton

Ages 8 to 15 with type 1 and type 2 diabetes.

Activities: team sports, waterfront games, campfires, arts and crafts, canoeing, swimming, ropes course activities, rock climbing and archery.

Juniors: 9 to 10 Year Olds
Activities include team games, water activities, arts and crafts, archery, horseback riding and campfires.

Mid-Aged Group: 11 to 12 Year Olds
Activities include team games, tie dye, fishing, sports, archery, horsebackriding, high ropes course activities and swimming.

Seniors: 13 to 14 Year Olds
Activities include sports, hiking, overnight outdoor camping, canoeing, leadership activities, horseback riding and high ropes course activities.

Counselors-In-Training: 15 Year Olds
or the first few days of camp, this group will participate in leadership activities including high ropes course activities, an all day canoe trip, group initiatives, and leadership skills training. Each 15 year old is then placed with a counselor to assist in supervising a different cabin group each day. This program is intended to adequately train those interested in becoming counselors.

Activities: Red Cross Swimming program which includes swimming lessons and water safety instruction. Sailing, canoeing, and kayaking on our 6 acre lake; Fishing, Team Sports including: soccer, sand volleyball, basketball and pick-up games of football, archery, fencing, hiking, arts and crafts, drama classes, cooking classes.

Team Building Activities
Besides team sports, Camp Ho Mita Koda has other team building activities. These activities focus on the notion of working as a team to achieve a goal. Puzzles and other physical activities where teams work toward a solution are all part of these activities.

High & Low Ropes Challenge Course
Camp Ho Mita Koda opened a new high ropes course in 2005. This course, combined with a low ropes course, is used for both personal challenge and team challenge activities.

Rock Climbing Wall
In 2005, Camp Ho Mita Koda added a 36 foot rock-climbing tower. Campers can choose between two walls, one wall being more challenging than the other.

Horseback Riding
For an additional fee, campers in 5 or 12 day sessions have the opportunity to ride horses at a neighboring stable.

Designed for first-time campers and those recently diagnosed to assist them in learning more about themselves and their diabetes. Steppin Stones is a three-day day camp with one overnight campout.

9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
