AlabamaCamp Seale Harris Location:The programs are conducted at Camp ASCCA (Alabama's Special Camp for Children and Adults) 5278 Camp Ascca DrJacksons Gap, AL Activities: A wide assortment of recreational activities is offered including, swimming, tubing, horseback, canoeing, fishing, riflery, archery, sports and games, rappelling, arts and crafts, dances, zip-line rides, playground, and various evening program activities. Camp Seale Harris is a summer residential program that encourages and motivates youth to reach their full potential despite diabetes, and it teaches families how to serve as the primary educators and supporters for children/adolescents living with this illness. Two week residential camp program. Camp Sugar Falls,
is a week long day camp
experience. It provides kids the chance to learn about effective
diabetes management, while at the same time allowing them to interact with
other children living with this same illness. |
