People with diabetes are at greater risk for suffering from a stroke. In fact, people with diabetes are 4 – 6 times more likely to suffer a stroke than those in the general population. 2 out of 3 people with diabetes will actually die from stroke or heart disease, and strokes are the No. 3 cause of death in the United States.
