Dear Sirs,

This is for your kind information that, we have done our 3^rd Diabetes Awareness and Blood Screening Program on 17-4-2005(Sunday) at the village namely ‘Periya Peralli’ in virdhunagar Taluk.

Around 200 People interestingly participated and had their blood-screening at free of cost. Also there is a doctor S.M.Rathinavel MBBS who participated in our program and examined every patient and provide basic knowledge in Diabetes and its risk factors.

This Program is conducted at free of cost and no charges collected from the people with an ambition of creating an awareness in DIABETES. And all the people attended our program found knowledge in Diabetes and felt happiness about program and provide their appreciation towards our Diabetes activities.

Feedbacks : Important feedbacks of our 3^rd program are given below.

P.Maruthu Pandi: He is an village worker in the age of 45 years found to be an diabetic patient by his blood sugar level is 302 mgs%. Previously he does not know himself as a diabetic till we have screened. He is a newly deductived Diabetic. Our Doctor recommend him for Drugs and  advised precautionary steps to prevant Diabetes to his family members.

A.Sundararajan: His blood sugar level is found 300mgs% and he is a man of newly diagnosed. Hardly he does not found himself as a diabetic before our screening.

S.Sarojini: She is one of the residing woman in the village and her blood sugar level is 215 mgs% and newly deducted.

We have mentioned bellow some of diabetic people who are in poor control on their own.

The maximum blood sugar leve found in our 3^rd program is 354 mgs%.

Basic Factors :

1. They are not got awareness in diabetes.
2. They are not giving importance to Diabetes, because they are not fulfilled in diabetes knowledge.
3. They have no idea about diabetes foods and no idea about precautionary steps
4. They have no knowledge that diabetes is come through heriditary factors.

 We feel better, because of conducting our program in that village, most of the people might have been got diabetes knowledge and got awareness in diabetes. We have to improve their standard more by running continuous programs.
